I was searching around on Hobbyking when I've found out this interesting "Turnigy Redundant Dual 8A UBEC Rx Power System", and was wondering if this could be used as a safe UBEC to power the servo rail of my plane's pixhawk.
The specs are:
Input: 6.6~8.4V (2 cell Lipoly) [Two battery or two conn. to the same battery]
Output: 5.9V(+/-0.5V)
Max Load: 8A
Weight: 49g
VR Mode: Linear
Is this safe to power up a pixhawks servo rail, or is it outside the voltage tolerance? Does anyone has used this?
Sorry about this newbie question, but I guess it's better to have a little embarrasment than having a plane crash.
Thank you very much for your help.

it's safe for pixhawk, but it won't give pixhawk itself any power redundancy, because it's output voltage is too high - and will be discriminated by it's power selector.
pixhawk can still have two other power sources for redundancy, if you want to have that high servo rail voltage.
