ESC + Motor bullet connectors

I received my motors and ESCs today.  I found that some of bullet connectors don't really connect firmly.  This could be hazardous, if just one connector fails, I can image the quad falling to a horrible death.

So I cut the bullet connectors and put 600V 30A Anderson powerpoles on each connector.  It also allows me to "key" the connection so that it will only connect the 3 cables in correct polarity.

No soldering, easy connect and disconnect.

now I just have to wait for the frame to arrive.

  • I soldered mines directly, had to desolder to find the correct polarity but the motors and escs didnt seem to have random cable order. After i found the right order on the left motor that turned ccw the same order was correct for the right motor.

  • Definitely a good idea. Good connectors, but like Taylor pointed out, can't run them back through the arms.

  • What about the weight?
  • Do you have a link to those connectors?

    Yes, that's a good move.
