First major crash due to flyaway

Around 10am this morning I went outside to fly my hexacopter.  For the first 6 minutes of flight everything went very well.  The copter stabilized without issues, loitered without issues but when I tried RTL mode it started to fly away over some trees.  Once it became clear that it was unrecoverable via flight and was out of sight.  I cut power to the unit.  Although I didn't see it fall to the ground it probably fell 25ft to the side walk landing top down.  Here are some images of the aftermath.  Time to start build number 2.  Quick question for everyone as well.  When I was doing inventory after the crash I noticed the motor shafts had been pushed downwards.  Any fix to this problem?  Check out the damaged parts below. 3691058320?profile=original3691058218?profile=original3691058274?profile=original3691058335?profile=original

I created an instructable here on how to replace a motor shaft, see http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-change-the-drive-shaft-on-yo...

You should also check the shaft is true and there is no binding when you fix it.
  • did you bother to check the logs ?

Did it flyaway due to magnetometer problem ?, no home fix (wind) or what ?

  • Bummer about the crash :(

As for the motor shaft,  undo the grub screw in the top of the motor (half a turn or so) and gently tap the shaft back until the circlip almost touches the motor body.
