Hi guys,
I've only just tried connecting m 3dr radio telemetry system to my Samsung galaxy tab 2 (7") today, and the app loads fine, but upon connecting to my pixhawk telemetry an error appears.
I've connected the radio to Th e galaxy by using an OTG use plug, connecting the micro use to the 3dr radio.
My galaxy picks up the connection straight away and asks which app, where I select droid planner.
I then click connect and the device connects fine and it receives data for a second or 2 until this error appears and disconnects the telemetry :
MAVlink error: expected at least 2 bytes
I've tried this device on my Sony xperia z1 and everything connects fine without issues.
Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Is it a data transfer rate issue or something? All my com rates in the droid planner settings are normal.
Kind regards

Did you put the device into Developer Mode? That solved my problem. Also, have an app killer, and make sure that the 3DR Services app is installed, along with DP. Use the app killer to make sure that Tower isnt alrady loaded, then plug in the radio (blue end in the tablet).
You should also try Tower (DP3).
What I have found is that with both versions of Droid Planner it is essential to plug the usb cable into the device and then choose the app. Don't execute the app and then plug in the cable! However, DP2 still doesn't run on my tablet.

I have the same problem with DroidPlanner 2 and my Sony Xperia Z1! "Link lost, check connection". DroidPlanner (1) works fine on both my Xperia and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 I cannot get DroidPlanner 2 to run on my tablet.
Andy,
We are having the same problem I also using DoirPlanner 2 on Sony but mine is Xperia Z. Hope we can get solutions here :-D
Make sure you don't open the DP before you plug the cable to the telemetry radio in. If it opens as a result of you plugging the cable in it should run OK (does on my Xperia Z2). Never got it to run on my Samsung Tab.
Thanks for the info Andy.
