Got the Arducopter flying!

I'm amazed, after a day of assembly and two days of configuration and figuring stuff out, I had my first flights today - works great. One thing I learned is not to turn the transmitter off with the motors armed! It didn't get far ;-)

 

Very stable, running the latest (2.18 I think).

    I too had my first flight today - half a world way in Australia
    My stock standard arducopter (if such a thing exits) with a 2200 mAh lipo got me about 10 mins before throttle response got a bit soft and I called it a day

  • Dunno Jani, but it's very much like a standard Arducopter, nothing added, I flew it eight separate flights for a total of 16 minutes, one flight on baro hold was over 5 minutes, that was the last flight, the copter settled to the ground on baro hold and I shut it off, that was the end of the battery. It's a new battery.

    Jim what is full weight of your ArduCopter?? and 16 mins is rather nice with 3300mAh
