I guess nothing would prevent the ArduCopter from running SW versions that fly missions or otherwise programmed routes.
As long as it completes the run before power runs out.
There are half a dozen diff ones on this site alone being worked on right now... any of these that are meant for the ArduPilot are also applicable to the ArduCopter.
But then a quadcopter really doesn't fly beyond visual range does it, so would you need the same GPS flight following, etc.?
