we are 3 french student, and we are trying to make a drone
we are using an arduino mega, and a IMU 6DOF Razor-ultra-thin IMU card (3 axes accelerometers, and 3 axes gyroscopes http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9431
we are telfth grade students (not sure which it is as we are french, but we are in our last year before going to university and others)
so we are not yet at this level of knowledge and we need a bit of help to do this
so we've read what you've done with arduino and accelerometers and all, it is very interesting
the thing, is, we would need a bit of help with kalman filtering. we need a simple explication of what it does and if you could send us any links on programs that use the kalman filter. we already found some codes but we are not sure they work.
we also have some small problems with the accelerometer card, when we use it with the arduino's IDE, and show some values on the monitor, it stops working (the IDE) saying there is an error
anyway, if you would take a bit of time to help us, we would be very glad to present you a bit more our project, with some photos and videos. If you don't have any time to waste with us, don't worry, we'll manage, but if you could at least recomand someone who might help us.
if there is anything you don't understand, just ask, i know my english is not very good =)

we used it, but our problem is that it only works for 1 axe of rotation, and we actually need the 3 axes,
and unfortunatly, some rotation on another axe makes it all stop working
