Hi,

I would like to build a VTOL UAV (a little bit like this one: Mini Panther ). Basically it should launch and fly as a plane with the two front rotors vertical and tail rotor off. For landing I would switch the front motors off, rotate them horizontal and switch all three motors on to fly/land as a tricopter.

I am not really keen on writing new code, I hope to get away with a Pixhawk and Arduplane and switching to manual mode for the landing. The manual mode would switch on an extra 'tricopter board'.

Any suggestions / experience ?
