I've just got telemetry added to my ardupilot and have a good working connection with the GCS software on my laptop. Is there a way to download a georeferenced map or imagery before a mission if there is not internet access at the flight location? It appears that the software has to have internet access through google earth.
It appears this is the same between the original GCS and the Happy Kilmore GCS.

Both the API (plug-in) and GE use browser caching. If you move around the area in your mission GE/API will pre-load the maps for that area. Then when you're offline, it will load the cached files.... You can test this by disabling your internet connection and then run the GCS with the Emulator.
