Magnetometer not working

Hi, I've installed magnetometer to my APM board and is not working yet.

It is soldered as suggested on the wiki, with pin headers to the board.

Solder jumper already on 5V, VCC pin is at 4.86V and no shorts on SDA, SCL pins, I can see activity on the scope on both lines.

What else can I check?

    This is good news. I will try a new magnetometer and see if I have some better luck also.

    I have two magnetometers that have never worked, and I'm sure 3-d robotics will make it right when I finally give up and and ask for help. Please don't insinuate that there is no recourse to your problem, this community is definitely not profit driven. I have seen only patience and support here. If smashing your device was worth $40 of therapy,then I completely understand, but that was not the only choice you had.

    The board still doesn't work, no support, no more to do, it deserves to die.

    Chris said to me he is not giving tech support, so I've posted here but I'm not getting any answer, I think I'm on my own to fix it or drop it.

    I found a report about magnetometers with 200k resistor giving problems, mine has the resistor. I've tried the fix but still not working. Then I noticed that twisting very gently the board some data shows up. Checked all the solders and are fine, I suspect on sensor soldering, will try to gently "cook" the board.
