I have and APM 2.5 (Arducopter-Hexa), 3DR Telemetry and MinimOSD V1.0. Up until last week all three were working in harmony. About a week ago the OSD was starting to display some random labels and values about the screen, so I re-installed the latest stable firmware and updated the panels. Since then all I seem to be able to view is video and OSD labels with no values. It's as if the FC is not sending through the data, but the MAVlink label is blinking.
Yesterday, the OSD has partially crashed, I mean when I connect it up like before when it was working fine, the OSD part (APM data in side) does not power up from the APM, no red or orange LEDs. Video has no OSD overlay, just picture. The video in/out side of the MinimOSD (6 pins + red LED) is working.
When I connect the OSD to my PC via a FTDI USB cable, it works fine, CT talks to it fine. When I connect it to the APM it doesn't. I have tried replacing the APM/Telemetry cable thinking that was at fault, but that didn't make any difference. 3DR telemetry unit is working fine.
I am suspecting it is a APM fault now, is there something I need to "enable" in advanced parameters to force the APM to recognize/talk to the OSD?
Note: SR values are setup as per the WIKI, and haven't changed since it was working fine.
Also, is anyone having difficulty "ARMING" with the latest release of Arducopter V3.0.1. My APM just won't arm with this or any version above V3?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Piers

Did you ever find anything out about the OSD data issue? I have the same/similar problem. I have video with osd overlay however the data is not reporting. Mission Planner is reporting everything perfectly via 3D Radios, but the OSD data is not updating. Also, the OSD layout of the fields is not formatted properly. The layout is all perfect in the CT, and after saving and reading its confirmed to be on the Minim.
I'm using APM 2.5.+, 3DR Power Brick, 3dRadios, Minim v1.1with 2.0 Hex set to NTSC, Fatshark Tx, Dominator Goggles.
Help?!?
Mine works perfectly with 3.0.1 and all I do is hold the throttle stick in the lower right corner for 4 seconds then release it. Wait a couple seconds then power up and voila, takeoff.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, I can't help on the OSD either.
Disable 'Pre-Arm' check.
Go to Adv. Parameters list,
Set 'Arming_check' to zero.
