I currently have a 3DR Telemetry unit on my Quad, and being something of a terrible pilot I use it quite often to fly with. All of that works great, with the telemetry unit connected (obviously) to the telemetry port on my APM2.5
But now I'm going to purchase some goggles, so that I can send the quad to a waypoint to loiter via the Telemetry link on my Laptop......And then put the goggles on so I can frame up a shot. The problem is that I want to run a Minimized so I can have that info on my HUD, and unfortunately that plugs into the same telemetry port on my APM that is already in use.
Does anybody know how I can run both? or am I contained to using one or the other?
As always any help would be greatly Appreciated.

I chose to do this on my APM1. So now i have 4 rows of pins that I can connect to telemetry, OSD, IOboard and who knows what else. This worked great with telemetry and OSD for a while but now there are some problems. Might be related to Arducopter 3.xx or new vibration or something else... The problem I am having now is that everything works great on the ground but in the air the OSD layer stops working, after a while the OSD layer comes on again only to dissapear again.Im guessing the problem has to do with sloppy soldering and maybe bad connectors + vibration.
Hi Will,
I just made up a parallel adapter out of two of the Telemetry Adapter Cables for APM 2.5 from the DIY Drones store here.
just make sure the TX>RX connection only passes through to the 3DR radio not to the MinimOSD. In other words don not connect the MinimOSD TX connection to the APM 2.5 RX connection. Works like a charm.
