i am attempting to install mission planner with my ubuntu operating system. The problem I am having is Mission Planner is written for Windows and MAC. I understand it needs Net Framework to operate, BUT it is written in Linux, shouldn't it be able to run in Linux???? I am building a Quadcopter and so far everything is open-sourced and I want it to stay that way. I have the new Pixhawk, and the Fr-Sky radio and I want to control everything from Ubuntu. I welcome any instructions or suggestions.

you need to add this PPA to update mono to 3.x :
