I've been having a back and forth with Michael Oborne on why v1.0.20 of the mission planner works but v1.0.48 does not ()http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/v20-works-but-v48-does-not!
No luck so far on resolving it. I am making a post here just in case others who are only checking the arducopter 2 discussions as oppose to the general diydrones page encountered and were able to resolve the problem.
I v20 I'm able to communicate with my 2560 board, under vista os with code 38 loaded regardless of CLI or fly mode. In v48 of MP, under the same set of computing environment, I can only communicate with the board using CLI. With switch in fly mode, attempt to communicate result in an error.
