Hi experts,

Mounting pixhawk/FC on bottom(like gimble) of a carbon fiber(it is conductive )  frame, does it has any effect on flight parameters?

according to few blogs carbon/graphite material( and also epoxy in carbonfiber)do some affect on compass readings. but does it make difference if pixhawk is mounted under the carbon fiber plate(battery and companion computer is on top).

any technical discussion /pointer will be appreciated.

  • No, your vibration damping material will provide extra distance anyway. It should not be a problem at all.
You can also disable internal magnetometer if needed, and use an external.
