My first UAV

I've been looking around and read a lot from this super website for a couple of weeks now and I think I'm ready to start building my first UAV :D

My first milestone will be to get the plane to fly some waypoints, then take-off and land by itself.

Further plans are:
Add RX/TX to the plane so I can stream telemetry and video from the plane and change waypoints in-flight.

I'm not sure if this list is complete but I think I've got all the necessary hardware to build my plane and reach my first milestone.
Please let me know if I've forgot something! :)

  • I don't think you will need the programming cable or GPS adapter as this functionality should be built into the IMU Shield.

    All the best!
  • You can skip the RTF since the tx/rx are mostly useless. For the same money that you'll save you can get a higher ch hobbyking tx/rx. Or you can invest in a higher quality tx such as hitec, jr, etc. Also you can save yourself some money by going with a zippy lipo off hobbyking (I have both zippy and thunderpower and they perform identically)
