I did some testflights with my Twinstar setup yesterday and ran into a strange behaviour when doing waypoint navigation in AUTO mode.
Stabilizing mode and FBW works great after som tuning of Roll PID. Waypoint navigation was not that successful. The best way to see what i experienced is to download the attached logfile and play it in Mission planner. It is most obvious after the plane passes waypoint 2 and starts off to WP 3.
The plane sets off in the rght direction but starts when it gets a little off course it starts to fly in tight circles while the wind blows the plane further away from the waypoint.
My first thought is to lower the P gain on the Nav roll PID, but it would be great if someone could look at it and give me a hint.

did you have a mag on your apm as well.?
what firmware version do you have on the apm?
i had this exact same problem with a skyfun (which i lost because of this problem). I still haven't found a solution or received any advice on what it could have been. I have just setup a hawk sky with my new APM gear (with telemetry this time) but im silenting crapping myself that this is going to happen again..as i have no idea what caused it the first time
Crazy question... how do I play this in APM? While the program is lovely, I have no idea where to go in this thing for me to watch your flight :(
