need help setting up motors on arducopter hexa X

I need help setting up motors on arducopter heavy lift hexa X, using 2.5.3 mission planer 

Using the mission planer when try to configure the motors only 4 of the 6 motors work.

I have been following the forum for quite some time, reading all the posts searching all the posts on this and can not find anything on setup of hexa x configuration.

can anybody help

    I will have to double check the pin set up as i have it, as i remember when looking at the pin header I plugged in from left side to right side so this would be 87654321

    Did you calibrate your ESCs?

    Are you using an APM1 or APM2? Did you follow the setup guide in the wiki?

    I am assuming you loaded the firmware from the mission planner... Did you click on the image of the Hexa? Did you run through the setup on the Configuration tab of the mission planner?
