Here is the list I have so far.
* 1x Frame
* 4x Motors 850kv
* 4x ESCs 20Amp
* 4x Propellers 10x45
* 1x ArduPilot Mega Flight controller board here $59.95
* 1x ArduPilot Mega OilPan IMU board here $159.95
* 2x 3 row pins for APM here. $1.99 ea
* 2x Conn Header Male 36. Straight here. $2.25 ea.
* 1x MediaTek 3329 GPS here $37.95
* 1x 10 cm Cable (for GPS) here $1.95
* 1x Magnetometer here $44.90
* 1x 15cm cable (for magnetometer) here $1.95
* 1x Power distribution board
* 1x Lipo Battery
* 1x Xbee pro 900 w/wire antenna here - $42.95 - optional (Required for telemetry)
* 1x XBee-PRO 900 RF module here - $44.95 -optional (Required for telemetry)
* 1x 900MHz Duck Antenna RP-SMA here - $7.95 - optional (Required for telemetry)
* 1x XBee Adapter kit here - $10.00 - optional (Required for telemetry)
* 1x XBee Explorer USB here - $24.95 - optional (Required for telemetry)
* 1x 2.4G 9 Channel remote TX and RX here - $59.99
This is about $500 for everything I have priced. I do not know where to get the frame or power distribution board at yet and I am not sure on what motors, ecs, propellers, battery, and charger to get. It is also very likely I am missing something yet.
*** Note, I am extremely new to all this so double check any off the accuracy of any of this info.

If you can't find your answers on the ArduCopter tracks, since the ArduCopter uses the ArduPilot, that is where you should be looking for the electronics advice.
MediaTek MT3329
or
Ublox 5 chip
do I need special USB cable ?
for example, I don't know how do i communicate with the ardunio - or which kind of gps module I need, or how I power the system
etc
don't you have a small list , that includes all the parts needed, and a small explanation on each one?
make it newbie friendly
Otherwise I recommend having a look at the wiki which covers most of the questions you asked here:
