Will the PID values be the same for Arducopter Mega as they are with the RC2? I was looking at the differences in the code but am still not sure. Reason I ask is I just set up another quad and am thinking about going ahead and loading RC2 and getting it flying or debating just waiting for the Mega to come out.

I am unable to find any stable PIDs with ACM... I had found values close to defaults that worked perfectly with ardupirates. My conclusion? smaller quads might be out of reach for the loop rate of ACM. I would be delighted to be proven wrong, since it is the more promising codebase imho.

at the moment i would not try acm.
instead of using the 'old' rc2 i would stick with the latest stable pirates code.
the pirates
i can fly with pirates code/version but not with acm.
if you wanna ruin your copter go and load acm.
be shure to have enough spare parts.
you can't be sure about that
arducopter mega has a lower loop speed, which affects the PID behaviour
it CAN be the same, but it's not guaranteed
