Hello all,

I have bridged my MinimOSD to provide 5v to both sides of the board, with this in mind do you think it's possible to power the FPV TX (Requires (6.5-15v but I'm informed it steps that down to 5v so should work off a 5v direct supply) directly off the MinimOSD? Failing that, could I power it via my APM power module?

I'm looking to keep things simple and avoid using 2 batteries... First build so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Bad idea to put so much load on the APM power supply. Hook it directly to the main battery for 12 V, or get another UBEC to power it. It is not necessary to use a seperate battery, but you might need an LC filter to avoid ESC noise in your video.
  • Some Video transmitters want 12v in and as a helpful feature they may output 5v or 12v for a camera.

I doubt it will work as it really wants 12v in.
