PX4 / PIXHAWK and "multiple" SpeKtrum Receivers

Searched but could not find answers...

- If I want to use TWO satellite SpeKtrum receivers on either the PX4 or Pixhawk, how is the best/safest way to unite them when there is only ONE Spektrum connector on the FMU?

- Do the original female connectors on the Spektrum receivers need any kind of adapter to fit on the proper port of the above mentioned FMUs. If so, is there a vendor or will I be making my own adapters?

And let me slip one question off topic in this thread...

With PX4, I do *not* need to buy the 3DR power module as this circuitry is included in the PX4 unit; correct?

Thank you,

Sidenote- the satellite receiver gets terrible range as a standalone. Now that I have 2 Pixhawks, I finally have a good enough reason to get a Taranis.
  • I have the same goal except I am using Futaba receivers. I can keep it to the 8 channels but it definitely needs to be from two different transmitters. Either I need to combine the signal from the receivers before sending to the pixhawk or somehow synchronize the transmitters so that they both send to the same receiver on different channels.

  • Why settle for two when you can have up to 4!

  • The cable for the satellite reciever does plug staright in. If you don't see servos moving on the calibration screen it means no firmware loaded on IO board. If you are using 4cells or less you can get the voltage direct from the flight pack,... Otherwise you need to build a voltage divider to suit your pack voltage. There is a current sensor pad on the board but so far i have not been able to get it to work, but i think i have a faulty board. There is some info on the wiki About it
