QGroudcontrol or Missionplanner on iOS

Good day all

My 450 drone is flying and I have tested most of the autopilot functions. I have flown it with Mission planner on my laptop. Now I want to fly it with either MissionPLanner or QGroudcontrol on a cellphone. (iOS).

My Huawei P9 Lilte does not connect to the 3DR radio and I assume its because my phone is not

OTG-enabled. I am wanting to try an iOS phone but , googling the issue it seems iOS has only limited

OTG-support.

Has anyone else used QGroundControl or MissionPlanner apps on iOS with success ??

Any advise would be appreciated.

My drone is a quad with the following setup:

F450 frame
2312 motors
Bl-Heli32 (40A) ESC
9450S props
RXSR Frsky receiver
Pixhawk 2.4.8 ( running APM copter V3.5.5 )(27229c83)
M8N GPS
CADDX Turbo SDR1 1200TVL camera
TBS Unify Pro 5G8 HV Race (MMCX) VTX
MiniOSD for Mavlink OSD on FPV
FPV running on separate PDB from 3S
Missionplanner 1.3.56 build 1.3.6672.30243

regards

  • iOS will only support WiFi connections since iOs requires anything connected to it to be licences. Hence you can't connect an SiK radio to an iPhone.
