Howdy yall. I just had one heck of an idea and wanted to see if it would fly as I dont really use linux. The Raspberry Pi is a is a single board linux computer. it has a 700mhz processor 256MB ram and two USB ports and a 10/100 Ethernet controller. For storage it uses a SD card.

So I was thinking about getting one, loading Qground Controll for the MAVlink compatible system. Tossing a small 4.3 or 7 inch NTSC display http://adafruit.com/products/947 as it auto selects between the 2 av inputs. tossing a switch on the Video RX on AV2 so that I could flip back to the RbPi computer and if the signal failed from my vid RX it would fail over to the ground control syste.

Then I was thinking about putting all this stuff into a pelican case and running it all off a 1Ah 3 cell lipo. With a 4 inch screen I could easily make a pocket ground station that would drop into a cargo pocket with no bulk of a standard laptop. Please shoot holes in my idea,

Sounds good to me. Or could you get the Raspberry pi to overlay stuff on the video as another alternative
