Andy Little commented on Tsuru Robotics's blog post World's First Graffiti Drone (Part 1)
"Fantastic! I dont't know about the graffiti but how about a Drone that was programmed to paint your house.  Maybe it could even get its power and paint via a tube to the ground so that it could stay up until the job is done. I could see a lot of use…"

Andy Little commented on hiroshi takey's blog post [COMMUNITY] - Today, Ardupilot banned to me from and my related Ardupilot project.
"@hiroshi,
Best of luck with URUS for the future. It is great that someone is keeping the classic APM ArduPilot code and boards alive. I used to have great fun with Ardupilot both flying and hacking on my APM2.

regards
Andy"

"hmm. That wasnt very nice of Mr Poirier. I have "unfriended" him.
Ardupilot is really just another corporation these days."

Andy Little commented on Alex Frye's blog post Project Conclusion
"Lovely looking plane.
The issue on takeoff on the maiden flight looks like a classic tip-stall, where the air stalls on one wing only with the result as here. It is usually unrecoverable unless you have a lot of height.  Tip stall is a problem that…"

Andy Little commented on Andy Little's blog post Generic Flight controller mixing
"I forgot to add. There is also a GUI, that was used to make the Youtube video:

but it is very rough and just really for my own use, so it wont build out of the box, many things such as file paths are hardcoded…"

""You can makes some really nifty looking things with 3D printing, they just aren't good for anything.

Andy Little commented on Andreas Antener's blog post Full PX4 Support for E-flite Convergence
"Nice. I really like the E-flite Convergence config for VTOL. I also like the simplicity of customisation of the PX4, which allows to get custom configurations like this up and running realtively simply"

Andy Little replied to Ethan's discussion Should I use PX4 flight control stack or the APM 3.3 for Pixhawk?
"I'm no fan of NuttX, but I think the  Nuttx concept is a Unix like system on a microcontroller. I dont see any barrier to porting it to different hardware. As to whether Posix is a good basis for an RTOS, probably not, though it is in use in most…"

Andy Little replied to Ethan's discussion Should I use PX4 flight control stack or the APM 3.3 for Pixhawk?
"Certainly the PX4 design is better in that it was top down designed whereas ArduPilot just kind of evolved"

Andy Little commented on Markus's blog post MiniRaceWing - Fly Fast, Stay Low
"At least it is not just another wing.  The ability to break cleanly on crashing looks different. I wonder how much weight it adds though. As people are discovering, to fly fast it is all about lightness!
I also suspect that once the wings have…"
