"@LaVerne: That is indeed the correct location for the code. If you would just like to flash the binary and fly, have a look here: http://px4.io/docs/px4-basic-concepts/. Basically all you need is to download QGroundControl (QGC), flash the latest…"

"@LaVerne: What you need is the Pixfalcon set with GPS (and an RC receiver of your choice), that's all :)

I've added a thread on the PX4 forum: http://discuss.px4.io/t/full-e-flite-convergence-support/2446 . I'm going to post an update there (and…"

"Thanks! Cool, looking forward seeing it fly with ArduPlane.
I've just watched your video with the AddictionX in SITL, very cool idea, I might need to try that as well ;). I am curious how smoothly it will be in real. What I was wondering is if you…"

"Glad you like it :)
We used a Pixfalcon as it has enough outputs and fits well with GPS in the front (you'll need to cut out some foam). Have a look here for some pictures of the build: http://px4.io/portfolio/e-flite-convergence/"

Andreas Antener posted a blog post
After our Christmas experiment of getting the E-flite Convergence flying autonomous missions with PX4 we’ve now gone one step further and implemented a rate controlled acrobatics mode in fixed-wing. This allows you to fly the Convergence in the same…

Btw, I've just tested a soon to be pushed update for the PX4 Convergence that enables Acro mode.…"

Andreas Antener commented on Andreas Antener's blog post E-flite Convergence with PX4
"Hi Jürgen

Can I use the pixracer?

No. Unfortunately the Convergence requires 7 PWM outputs and the Pixracer only provides 6. Because of the way it needs mixing on the tilt mechanism (tilt and yaw actuation) and on the elevons (roll and pitch…"

"This is true in most cases and I'm pretty sure it will just work.

Some more technical background on this for the other 1%:
MAVLink specifies an API to request certain message streams which is used by some OSDs (such as the MinimOSD) to tell the…"

"Hi Robert, thanks for mentioning that. I guess it should work when both are reading from the Pixfalcon but only the telemetry radio is sending to it (but I'm not the electronics expert)."

Andreas Antener commented on Andreas Antener's blog post E-flite Convergence with PX4
"You'll need an OSD that is MAVLink compatible. But there is a catch: the Pixfalcon has only 1 telemetry output. So you can either connect an OSD or a telemetry radio.
If you go for an OSD I would recommend to look into PlayOSD:…"

"You would need a GPS that fits the autopilot. There is a set, Pixfalcon with GPS:

Your OSD and GPS that you mentioned seems to be an isolated solution, I wouldn't know how to…"

"Hi Oscar

Yes we used the Pixfalcon from Hobbyking. You'd need a complete set including GPS. And of course an RC receiver of your choice.
