That's a great combo deal and less than half the price of the Holybro Pixfalcon Combo.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!"

"Hi Patrick,
Nice setup! The Ubiquiti NanoBeam was less expensive than I expected. I didn't see a cone pattern for it but the 25dBi gain is impressive for the price.

Did you print the 3D parts yourself or send out for them? I was wondering what the…"

Greg Covey replied to Greg Covey's discussion PX4/Pixhawk Flight Core Controlling FireFLY6 VTOL
"Jimmy,
Today, there is tiltrotor support for the FireFLY6 in APM Plane v3.8.0. No AVA key is needed. You can find pre-release firmware and setup information here. Also, the PX4 stack supports tiltrotor for the FireFLY6 hardware.
Good luck!
Jimmy…"

"Hi Patrick,

Your tracker looks great! I'm glad you got things ironed out. The Pixhawk Lite does have several incorrect pinout diagrams so the images below are for others that may want to use this $47 low cost controller for their tracker. The…"

After looking at your image, I would choose to treat the frame as either a quad or a tri, not a hexacopter. If using a quadcopter or tricopter setup, the front left two motors are treated as one in parallel as are the front right two motors.…"

Greg Covey replied to Greg Covey's discussion PX4/Pixhawk Flight Core Controlling FireFLY6 VTOL
"I usually stay in Alt. Hold mode when transitioning from Forward Flight to Hover mode because it is easier to move the FF6 around than it is in Loiter mode. Remember that in Alt. hold mode, the wind will push the FF6 backwards so you need to…"

Greg Covey replied to Greg Covey's discussion PX4/Pixhawk Flight Core Controlling FireFLY6 VTOL
"I took a look at the larger 1.2mb log file. The number of GPS satellites degraded during the flight which could suggest a noise issue from the electronics. The mode and throttle plot suggests that you were using Loiter mode in both Hover and Forward…"

Greg Covey replied to Greg Covey's discussion PX4/Pixhawk Flight Core Controlling FireFLY6 VTOL
"Matthew,
Each waypoint should have an associated altitude that you can set. Perhaps this would reduce the quantity of waypoints.

The "PreArm: Compasses Inconsistent" can be an issue. Some folks have solved it by cleaning up the power wire runs to…"
