Setting Up a test Bed

Hi all...

new to this, so sorry if I'm reposting or have this in the wrong place, but can't find any info on this

As I say I'm new to all this... I want to set up a test environment in my workshop

However I don't want to use batteries in this setup, is it possible to have a full test bench using mains power?

If so how?

By the way here's my inital setup...I've never actually flown a plane before

Skyfun jet

Upgrade motor  power system

Turnigy 2836-2350kv Brushless outrunner Motor

Turnigy 60a plush ESC

2200mah battery 3S 30C

Ardupilot Mega

Ardupilot Mega IMU

Xbee's on both sides for telemetry

(I've basically copied this http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/ardupilot-mega-home-page)

Also have FPV kit

CCD killer Camera

Tx and Rx (fatshark I think)

I have a thousand questions about all this...but this should get me started

I'm a programmer by day...although I have little understanding of electrical engineering...But I've got the will and the aptitude

  • You'd have to have a high-amp power supply. Something that delivers as much as a battery will be hard to come by...
