I'm interested in starting my own personal UAV program from scratch. I'd like to get about 30-45 minutes of flight time and like the idea of the autopilot (thinking of grid pattern searches) and video features of the UAV. I've been trolling around the website and I see some good starter models, but could use some assistance in selecting the right one for my application. I don't know much about all the components I've been reading about, but am handy enough that I can follow a good set if plans if I needed to change a motor or wire in some additional components.
Any thoughts on kits, components, etc to make it all work?
If I am asking for too much info, or something that's already covered in a book, or previous post, please feel free to point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

Alot of the newbie posts we get are from google trolls who just want everything done for them like "I want one, where can I get one".
Chris Kevorkian's link is a good place to start and find the resources you need.
