I'm building an Arducopter and am still deciding between these two tx/rx systems. The Turnigy seems nice that it has more channels and some knobs instead of all two-way switches. However, it looks like it has an 8 AA battery pack and would need modification to fit a LiPo pack. I also saw this thread here about alternate firmware for the Turnigy. Any opinions out there? I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on a system like a Futaba. I also have an old JR XF421EX from my Hangar 9 Xtra Easy 2. That isn't 2.4 Ghz and is 5 channels
turnigy 9x is very good for its price. i've been happy with it for all my planes. but currently having troubles with quad copter and its rx connection and calibrations (see my threads if you want) on the APM2 board
the turnigy 9x tx takes (with slght mods and a squeeze) a 2500 mah lightmax transmitter battery avail from hobbyking
