Im looking to mount 2 cameras on a multi rotor platform. I would like them to trigger at the same time. I was looking to use pixhawk on an S1000. Is it as simple as using 2 pixhawk camera trigger cables and programming the shutters to one switch on my remote?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Is it not too heavy to carry 2 cameras for a drone?
I have been working on doing the same thing. I was rather unsuccessful as the camera I was using wouldn't go 'manual' enough to get instant triggering. However, a splitter cable going from the Pixhawk aux pin setup in Mission Planner worked fine for triggering both.
