Unable to arm firmware 3.0

Thought I try the latest firmware on my Quad.  I downloaded firmware 3.0.0-rc6 and loaded.  When I try to arm both from mission planner or from my radio, nothing happens.  I erased my APM and then loaded the new firmware, calibrated my radio and leveled the copter.  Is there something new and special that would keep me from arming?

    Hey Richard. Maybe I can help you for a change. I had the same "problem" with 3.0 when I loaded it last weekend. This is copied from Randy's latest post on the 3.0 "release".

    • pre-arm checks to ensure all calibration has been performed before arming (can be disabled by setting ARMING_CHECK to zero).  (video description here)

    I ended up disabling the pre-arm checks because my compass offsets are huge (400-500 range). I'm still working to figure that one out myself, but I wanted to get er in the air. I think you need to figure out what pre-arm check you are failing.
