W8 vs android tablet for mission Planner

Trying to decide which way to go w8 or android,I would like to know if somebody has an experience of running mp on a w8 tablet and compared it with the droid planner app running on an android tab.Is mp on a tablet practical ?, can I replace the netbook with tha tab?Is it possible to have video on the android tablet via USB with an adaptor ?Thanks,

  • I cannot speak specifically for W8 on a tablet, but I have W7 on a netbook,  Gateway LT4010u with a 10.1 inch screen and a built-in touchpad and it works great at the field.

  • Mike ,
Have you used mp with a tablet yourself in the field ?
    How was it?
I'm inclined towards a w8 tab , in order to be able to use the full set,
My biggest concern is if will be able to anything with fingers on the screen, as the interface was not prepared with this in mind,

    Very much appreciate your advice,

I would suggest asking here http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/mp-1-2-58-1-2-59-can-t-browse-for...

for the W8 side of things
