Waypoint Recognition

Hey Everyone,

I have been on a bit of a standstill with my Ardupilot project lately, but managed to get out for a test flight, and as usual have returned with more Ardupilot questions. I have the Ardupilot 2.4 in an Easystay with the following hardware:

Ardupilot Arduino ATMega328 Board (red board)

Shield V2 kit (blue board)

EM-406A USGlobalSat GPS

Spektrum Dx6i transmitter, Spektrum AR6110e reciever

Attopilot XYZ sensors (from DIYdrones)

Electrifly C-55 Mini ESC

My question pertains to the Waypoint Autopilot mode… our Arupilot system would not recognize the programmed waypoints. The return-to-launch mode seemed to work properly, when switched from manual to RTL the plane would return to the launch position and circle. However, when switched to Waypoint mode, the plane would not recognize the home waypoint and would therefore not advance on to subsequent waypoints. I am suspicious about the altitude maybe being responsible for this? I have the radius set to 10m, and when tested on the ground, the system recognizes the waypoints as expected.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Also, on a different note, where can a person find different H files for different airframes?

Thanks,

Jeff.

Solution. Turns out that Jeff was editing the config file in Windows Notepad, which add extraneous characters. Needless to say, the config file should be editing within Arduino, in the tab in which it appears.

Upgrade to 2.5.04...It should navigate great on the EasyStar, right out of the box.
