Works indoors, Beeps outdoors

Hi,

I'm trying to get my maiden flight going!.. I performed a hand test inside my house (74°F, 23°C). I took the quad outside (26°F, -3°C). When I power on the quad, it started beeping similar to when ESCs were not calibrated.

Now after coming back inside, still it beeps like in outside :(

UPDATE: it works fine inside, after everything warmed up. Is this something to do with low temperature problem with 3DR ESCs?

any help highly appreciated.

thanks,

Ruwan.

  • Had the same problem, have a look at: http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/esc-beeps

  • I had the same problem, as described here.

You should try to recalibrate manually your ESC at the outside low temperature...

  • It sounds like you are missing ground between apm board and esc (signal)

  • I had a similar thing this weekend. It sorted itself out after I recalibrated the radio. Something about the throttle did not have enough movement in it to make the ESCs happy. Oddly, it had been on 3 or 4 flights before hand. After packing up and heading home, it was a simple task to fix.
