I was planning on using the Pro 60mW 2.4 wire antenna modules. I am on 72 Mhz for RC. Is this a bad choice? Why?
  • I did see that chris I was just wondering between the two as the 868 has greater distance and since I live in europe I am able to use them both. I will probably stick with the tried and tested one at the moment as the 868 seems to have some minor issues.
  • Here is the link on DIYdrones for Xbee Pro 868:

you'll see that there are some communications issues which are not resolved as pertaining to continuous data "streaming".

    Ryan,

The 868 MHz Xbee is for Europe only while the 900 MHz Xbee has been certified for use in the US.

As you'll see from the ArduPilot hardware list, we use this 900mhz one in the air and this one on the ground.
  • I didn't realise james. I will have a look for it the now.
  • There is a discussion started by Reto on the 868 and it's limitations. I personally would like to try the pro XSC but haven't found any reviews about it yet.
