Hey folks,
I found this arduino wireless gizmo that appears to be a much cheaper alternative to the super expensive xbee.
Can anyone confirm that it works properly with Arduplane?

Indeed, those are much lower figures..
Well, here's the trouble: I'm going to use FrSky 2.4ghz for plane control. As I understand it, xbee only offers transmission in 900mhz and 2.4ghz. The latter is out since I'll be using that for plane control, but FrSky is notoriously sensitive to 900mhz transmission as well.
Are there any other arduino transmitters that I could use that offer signal on 5.8ghz or 1.2? Or UHF?
If they advertise 1000 meters in open space, then expect less. Makes this not very interesting for uav use.
Max 19.2KBaud, range 1200m. Seems to be quiet slower and has half the range of an xbee (there's the difference, also in price).
Cheers,
