Is this possible to activate a servo from a clap on the ground, with a directional microphone orientated to the ground and sensor connected to the apm or to the receiver ?
Thank you.

Join the Gesture Control Group (that I started a few months ago) and we can discuss there, I have some thoughts on how to do this. After the 15th of June I have a University of Nottingham intern working for 8 weeks on Gesture Control, so I'm serious about this subject.
If not able to switch a servo, then i would like it to constantly send sound volume info over Mavlink to Mission Planner for instance the same way it would send classic infos.

@Keith,
Great. Done.
Yes, one of the groups members is Filip, he's the intern that will be working over this summer on Gesture Control.
Cheers,
Keith,
Seriously?
Yes ;-) There are a couple of drone technology contests before august and i want to present something
There is : http://www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-Clap-Sensitive-Light-Contro... but i have no idea how to implement it on the apm, if this is even possible.

It is for sure easier to send sound through fpv and analyse it on the ground....
But immediate action from clap or sound volume activation would be great.
