Day 2, What went wrong?

Maiden flight yesterday went great.  So today I tried without my Gopro under the wing and outta 4 flights... All was not right.  So after takeoff I switched into Stab and the plane nosed in and although wings were level, the pitch was always nose down with no stick control.  I figured since my camera was tail side of COG that I was just nose heavy but after thinking about it.... I could still manually apply down on elev control and pitch the nose up.  If I could do it, why couldnt the apm? I set level at home before yesterdays flight.  There was an upgrade to GCS last night that I uploaded, But that shouldn't change level?  I tried several things at the field, switching Batteries (1300ma/2200ma) and taping some quarters to the tail.  The last flight (#4), I know I had COG dailed in better than ever but kept getting the same results.  Any help would be soooo appreciated.

  • this is the last flight that day. CG was perfect! Ignore the last flight log pls. And thank you very much for taking time to help me as I am confused as to what happened over night? I didn't change any settings to anything. I also included my log from the previous day when all was well!

    Hi Kevin,

I'm having a look at your logs. They do indeed look strange, but I don't as yet have an answer for you.

I need to get some sleep now, but I'll try to get back to you soon!

    Cheers, Tridge

  • in stab plane pitches down between 15 and 30 degrees nose down but flew perfect the day before.  plane shows level on HUD when its level on ground and control surfaces react correctly in stab on ground.
