Why is Flight Mode 6 [fltmode6] disabled in Flight Modes under Initial Setup?

I can change fltmode6 in advanced paramaters which will work but under flight modes it is still displayed as "manual" , hence when I make a change to another mode it saves Flight mode 6 as manual. This is not good as I will forget to go into advanced params to update Flight Mode 6 to what i want it actually to be. Any fix or reasoning for this ?

    This is a safety feature. Manual is the only mode in which you could recover from a deep spin. It also bypasses the code in case the parameters become corrupted or some other dreadful failure. I have manual on its own switch with a red heat shrink. My finger is on that switch whenever I am at a critical stage of flight.
