Skywalker loss of altitude RTL

I would really appreciate some help as my Skywalker is losing altitude when RTL is commanded. While flying in manual mode I did notice I needed to add up trim to the elevator and I will correct this before the next flight, could this be why RTL behaved so badly.

I have extracted the relative data from a rather large log and attached it here. I am new to reading log files but believe me I have looked at the data in Mission Planner for hours and I'm not getting anywhere.

There is a loss of altitude twice and both times it appears when the Skywalker is heading westerly. I'm willing to learn if someone can point me in the right direction.

APM 2.5 with 2.73FW

Thanks

Ron

Do you have a tlog (telemetry log) ? That would be the easiest to analyse.

  • I fly with ron. We have the same setup except the Motor and ESC. Mine flys awesome never misses a beat. Ron's on the other hand seems to like dirt LOL. We will be trying whatever we can to fix it.
