Updating software from beta to release

Hello, I know the procdure for Arducopter, would like to see if it is the same.  If I upgrade from 2.75RC to the official version do I need to calibrate the accelerometers again, or can I keep the values.  Also, what about the compass?  All hardware is in exact same position as when running the beta.

Many thanks,

JEFF

    Hi Jeff,

you don't need to recalibrate - I always try to keep fundamental settings like that the same.

  • That is a pretty old release :)

The usual practice is to just load the new FW without any changes, or any calibrations.

Since, in your case you seem to come from stone age [don't mind] (prior to 3.0 release), I suggest you to do a complete compass + Command Line Interface screen (CLI->Setup->Compassmot) calibration, that sets the offset for deviation with compass readings with increase in throttle (or current).

    Hope that helps!
