  • Did anybody figure out a way to overcome this lag/latency issue?!

I use I Pixhawk and the openlrs modul and the lag is quite bad? I am not sure if I want to fly like this!

    Please help me out!

  • I've seen this using DragonLink PPM out before, but we resolved it. What Rx are you using?
    • How did you resolve this issue with the DragonLink setup?

    • I have never tried anything like this to change. I though, that it uses maximum data transfer rate without possibility of user to change anything. Any recommended value to use for frame rate? I used PWM very long time ago with APM 2.5, but I do not remember and can not compare yet, if it was faster. Will try broth options step by step.
    • I have Open LRS long range RX from hawkeye.

    • Have you experimented with different PPM frame rates?
Have you tried using PWM rather PPM? That might help diagnose the problem.
    • I have found some similar discussion here: https://github.com/diydrones/ardupilot/issues/1238

    • I see option in openLRSng firmware to set "Minimum PPM sync time (us)" there is 3000 value set currently. Not sure what it is exactly and if it is good to change it. I do not see frame rate option to change there.

      OpenLRSng Firmware Wiki:

      https://github.com/openLRSng/openLRSngWiki/wiki/Settings-Guide

      Minimum PPM sync time
The minimum time between PPM frames on the PPM output. The default value works fine for many systems but fickle systems such as Ardupilot require a longer sync time.

    • I'm sorry, I only have experience with DragonLink LRS and the sync time value is something different than I was talking about.
