3S or 4S for the Y6?

Hi All,

I've been trying to extend my flight time, and also bring a bit more power to my Y6 - the direction people keep pointing me at is going to a 4S battery. Before taking the plunge, It would be great to hear from users that have tried, or are using 4S batteries with their Y6, and what results they are getting. For me this will require new ESC's unfortunately, so will be a lil bit of work, and if it's not worth it i'd rather not waste the time.

    Hi Ralph - I missed this thread before but I made a post in the Best Battery thread which is relevant I think.

    While trying to troubleshoot a wobble while hovering my Y6, I found out today my kit shipped with two ESCs with SimonK firmware, the other four without. I didn't notice while I was assembling - the labels on the ESCs were similar. Did you try to contact 3DR to sort out this problem?

    Changing battery size should have no effect on you ESCs. Larger motors might need larger ESCs.
