Y6 stability issue

I had a hexa with no problems, other than a poor pilot. Upgraded to y6 and it just wants to flip over immediately. I tethered it and it really is trying to push over to the right.Props tight. Props correct. Motor test seq good. Radio calibrated. Supersimple stability mode. Only thing I can think of thats different besides new firmware in the apm is that i turned geofencing on.My hexa b was never as stable as a parrot (default tuning) but it just flew, ya know? All suggestions welcome. And I don't mind obvious stuff, cause thats usually what I miss.

  • Ok so I if anyones googles and has Y6A setup, the FRAME=10 parameter is for Y6B...

Just found out, put FRAME=0 and you're mostly set.

The only thing left I have now is the right stick back and forward are reversed...

  • Hi George

    I have a couple of HexC's and Y6's

You should first check, and recheck that your props are orientated correctly. ALL must have the writing facing the sky.

The check for correct prop rotation - i.e. you have the right props on the right motors,

    then do ESC calibration (all)

    then ESC calibration (individual)

Let me know if this doesn't work for you and I will think of next steps

  • Which way did you wire it up? Y6A or Y6B?  Double check the sequence and direction to suit whichever...

    Have you calibrated your ESCs?
