AC2 Frame Assembly Help Needed

Hi all. Im am busy assembling my AC2 in the X configuration following the instructions on the ArduCopter website and I've noticed that the standoffs for the upper carrier board will be blocking access to the RC header pins and sonar connector.

What do I do now or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

  • Thanks for the info guys.  After some more intensive Google'ing in came across this page:

I'll go with the standoff between the ESC and RX connectors gap layout...

  • You can turn the whole plate 45 degrees - you'll notice there are holes for it, you just have to put a hole in the arms underneath the supports for the head screw that holds the supports to sit down in, keeping the pate flush against the arms.  I haven't tried it with the original kit, as I'm now using 12mm wooden arms.  I just dremmeled a divet underneath each strut.  For my purposes it as also worked out as a handy break-point that has saved more expensive damage.  I think.
