AMP 2.5 vs APM 2.6 Set (external compass)

So now that I think I'm ready to replace my NAZA-M with an AMP I have a AMP 2.5 laying around, but Im so used to the accuracy of the external compass and wondered if I should eBay the 2.5 and get a 2.6 with external compass or are they about the same and not worth the trouble?

I've been waiting weeks for the back ordered apm 2.6. The GPS is the culprit.
