  • I currently have a very similar problem to this. I'm using APM 2.6, the latest firmware, device driver, APM Planner and Mission Planner.

It's driving me nuts, I can't get beyond the initial setup: I had it at first, then fixed it by reloading the firmware and it proceeded to the calibration step, then it reoccurred and hung on 'Got param RTL_LOIT_TIME' after I'd tried to return to a couple of previous calibration steps and instead of going back to those steps it went all the way back to the Mavlink connection stage.

I've tried just about everything I could find online, except for the 'CTRL + F + Click on 'Param Gen' thing, which I didn't understand because I couldn't find 'Param Gen' :S

I haven't given my APM 2.6 any knocks or done anything to it via my laptop, except try to run the initial setup (which, as I said, did work at one point), so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I really hope it isn't and that some kind person solves this problem!

I've posted this in greater detail on the APM forum.

  • I had this with my new APM 2.6.  They told me the board was defective after I found a memory error message in terminal.

It's on its way back to 3DR.

Try erasing and reloading the firmware.
