APM with Raspberry pi (connection) make as a WI-FI

I have to integrate the apm with Raspberry pi and my plan is I don't wanna use the 2.4 ghz radio instead of using this I need to fly through laptop/desktop or mobile phone If any body done please comment below and provide the links for it I have been searching but I couldn't find any kind support in it , If anybody found let me know. And how to make a raspberry pi as a wifi module ? Thanks in advance

    the latter containing various links to tutorials on how to set up the Pi as a hotspot.

    I have added the Pi which interfaces via socat (http://www.dest-unreach.org/socat/) with the autopilot and also has a wifi dongle (check compatibility with the Pi before buying, but there are many cheap ones on amazon) to communicate telemetry information down to earth on my phone (running Droidplanner). Works pretty well!

      See but the raspberry pi wont act as a wifi module I need to make interlink between mobile and quad !

    I dont really understand what your trying to do. You can use one of the normal telemtery models and plug it into a USB to Mirco-USB adapters and then use one of the android apps. No raspeberry Pi needed.. I have been wondering if I can use  my Raspberry with a Cellular USB modem to connect to my apm. Although I guess I would need another pi at the base unit wit celluar connectivity as well.

      I have to control the model through an mobile or Laptop/desktop but not through radio.

      By wireless Im guessing that you are talking about 802.11x?  Even if you were to get it to work I dont think the range would be very far at all. I mean you can by a generic air/ usb groung telemetry kit off ebay for $25 that will give you way more range. With an amplifier people have gotten 7.2 km with normal antennas. I'm curenntly going to go with a diversite antenna setup on a tripod.....one of the square plate ones and one directional. You can put that together withe everything on a tripod for $250 and the gimbal on the tripod will keep the antennas pointed in the right direction.!

      Apm should connect with raspberry pi but my question is that How to create a wifi unit which can make interface between the model and mobile but not the radio so that how can I go for that if you please let me know !
