APM2.5 voltage monitor w/o Attopilot sensor?

Hello -

Has anyone successfully implemented battery monitoring on an APM2/2.5 without the Attopilot sensor? My main reasons are for weight and simplicity, as I am currently using my APM2.5 on a micro-sized quadcopter.

Any help is appreciated.

    its very easy

    you can use a mini trimpot and 3 out
    1- +5 port(a1)
    2- V+BATT
    3- gnd port(a1)
    connect your battery measure your voltage
    write your measured voltage to apm planner
    and turn potentiometer while measured voltage=displayed voltage
